Aether Gazer Functor Guide

Welcome to the Aether Gazer Functor Guide. In this guide, I will provide you with all the information you need to know about functors in Aether Gazer. I will cover characters’ Gen-zones, different types of functors, and how you can awaken functors. So, let’s dive right in!

Gen-zones

Aether Gazer Shinri Tsukuyomi

To begin, it’s important to determine which Gen-zone or Faction your characters belong to. Aether Gazer has 5 Gen-zones, each with its own unique characters. Let’s take a look at each faction and its corresponding characters to help you make an informed decision when selecting functors. You can find your character’s Gen-zone in the “Stats” section next to their name, just as you can see in the picture above, Shinri Tsukuyomi belongs to Shinou Gen-zone.

Aether Gazer Functor Types

Now, let’s explore the different types of functors available in Aether Gazer:

Normal Functors

Aether Gazer Functor Guide

Normal functors are basic functors that don’t provide any special bonuses to specific characters. These functors are usually 3 stars or 4 stars. Some 5-star functors, like Herald – Hydra, Shikigami – Aosaginohi, and Elf – Galadriel, are also classified as normal functors. While they may not have unique enhancements like characters bonus, they still offer valuable benefits to your characters.

The Unawakened Functors

The unawakened functors might be a bit confusing for some players. These functors can be obtained through banner scans and can be awakened to become signature functors for your characters. I will explain signature functors in the next section.

Signature Functors

Aether Gazer special functors

Once you have successfully summoned an unawakened functor, you have the opportunity to awaken it for a specific character within the same Gen-zone or Faction. Let’s say you obtained Synchronic – The Unawakened. You can awaken it into Synchronic Sagara. This awakened functor is considered a signature functor because it is designed to enhance the skills of a specific character, such as Rahu Asura, making her even more powerful. Don’t worry, awakening a functor only costs 100 Ain Soph Coins, and you probably have 100k+ coins.

Should you spend on Functor Scan?

Now, you might be wondering if it’s worth spending your resources on Functor Scan. Here’s my recommendation:

You should definitely consider using Functor Scan for your main lead character. It’s crucial to maximize the potential of your main lead character, as they play a significant role in clearing missions and progressing in the game. Signature functors, in particular, offer substantial advantages over normal functors.

However, I wouldn’t advise using Functor Scan for all of your team characters. 3-star and 4-star functors should suffice for them. It’s essential to allocate most of your Shifted Star (main currency) toward character scans instead. Transcending your characters will significantly boost your progress in the game.

Final Thoughts

Understanding functors in Aether Gazer is crucial for optimizing your character’s potential. Make sure to identify your character’s Gen-zone, choose the appropriate functor type, and consider awakening signature functors for your main lead character. By following these guidelines, you’ll be well-equipped to tackle challenges and progress faster in the game.
